About Dr. Dey

Dr. Dey is a compassionate and experienced hematologist and bone marrow transplant oncologist who brings academic level care to the Exeter community. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and a member of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Cancer Center, practicing at Exeter Hospital.

Dr. Dey earned his medical degree summa cum laude from the Semmelweis University Medical School in Budapest, Hungary and completed a residency at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Virginia, then a fellowship in hematology-oncology and bone marrow transplantation at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he spent more than 20 years caring for patients.

Throughout his career, Dr. Dey has focused on hematologic cancers as well as hematologic disorders. He teaches future physicians at Harvard Medical School and has shared advances in cancer treatment at national and international meetings. Dr. Dey also dedicated over 20 years to developing healthcare education programs and a bone marrow transplant program in Bangladesh in collaboration with MGH’s Center for Global Health.

Today, Dr. Dey cares for patients at Exeter Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Cancer Center. His empathetic care for patients and families resounds through patient acknowledgement. He is dedicated to bringing compassionate and academic level care close to home.
