About Dr. Fidias

Dr. Fidias is a compassionate and experienced cancer specialist who believes that patients deserve excellent care close to where they live. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and a member of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Cancer Center, practicing at Exeter Hospital.

Dr. Fidias earned his medical degree summa cum laude from the University of Athens Medical School and completed advanced training in hematology and oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he spent more than 20 years caring for patients and leading the Thoracic Oncology Clinic.

Throughout his career, Dr. Fidias has focused on lung cancer and has also developed deep expertise in treating breast and gastrointestinal cancers. He has taught future physicians at Harvard Medical School and shared advances in cancer treatment at national and international meetings.

Today, Dr. Fidias cares for patients at Exeter Hospital as part of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Cancer Center. His guiding philosophy, “Together We Can,” reflects his commitment to working closely with patients, families, and the local care team to deliver personalized, high-quality cancer treatment — close to home, with compassion and respect.
